LIVERPOOL has its Premier League title destiny in its hands after a pulsating 3-2 win over Manchester City.
The clash was played at a heaving Anfield, full of emotion on the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.
The home side made an extraordinary start, with first-half goals from Raheem Sterling and Martin Skrtel.
But Manchester City showed its championship qualities with a resounding fightback - levelling the scores in the second period with goals from David Silva and a Glen Johnson own goal.
With action sweeping from end to end, a howler from City skipper Vincent Kompany gifted the ball to Philippe Coutinho, who finished with aplomb past Joe Hart.
